My name’s Giselle and I’m a certified life coach, music lover and fellow hot mess millennial.
Prior to getting certified as I coach, I lived in London, worked in fashion, and split my free time between living that London lifestyle (ignoring my problems and partying) and self shaming for not changing a single damn thing. An accident in 2018 left me hospitalised, paralysed and trying to rebuild my life, or should I say, slot back into the old one, now using a wheelchair.
It was during a team meeting just after getting back into work, that I reaslied I now needed something more. Working in fashion was no longer for me.
A significant period of self discovery and a lockdown later, I knew I loved a growth mindset and helping others, so off I went on to study at the Jay Shetty Certification School for over a year.
Shortly after graduating the school, me and my partner also finally committed to packing out bags, leaving our London life and seeing the world we’d spoken about since our second date. We backpacked South America and Asia and finally found somewhere to settle for a while. And thats when The Pep Talk was finally formed.
I spent 6 months of indecisiveness before deciding where to train as a Life coach. For me, hands on experience, feedback and supervision were non-negotiables, which is why I chose the Jay Shetty Certification school and trained for over a year alongside full time work. I'm still a member of the school where I continue to work on skills, be part of an incredible community and can receive coaching supervision from my peers.
